The new UI is pretty, but the primary problem with this app persists: If you lose wifi or cellular connection (even for only a moment), take a call, switch from in-vehicle Bluetooth to headphones, play video in another app, or otherwise interrupt stream playback, the stream will randomly stop and an ad will play before the stream resumes. Update: its gotten worse, it's now TWO ads that play before the stream.

The app needs to support pausing the stream without having to restart the stream. The app also needs to enable the skip back and forward 15 second buttons during live streaming. A nice to have: Copy the WBUR app's recorded program playback feature. This is different from just playing NPR's stories podcast style. It's an actual recording of what went out over the air. I tried to use this app to stay in sync with the radio while I'm out of my car to office or when a friend would call to say there's something to hear on GBH. The app plays ads more than anything else and is completely off the live broadcast. I lose connection or pause the app for a second and I'm back to square one, forced to listen to a list of ads and the program resents to beginning. In live news I basically lose "what is important". GBH's "what's important to you" is apparently the ads...
